We’ve helped Investors who wish to diversify or balance their investment portfolios by moving into Self-storage. Timing is everything, and we can help. In an appreciating market we are keenly aware of Owners and Investors desire to chose a transaction strategy that preserves their cost basis and provides a favorable tax treatment of the transaction. A IRS section 1031 Like Kind exchange may be an option to consider. We partner with Qualified Intermediaries that have vast experience and can facilitate the transaction. Some owners and investors avoid Section 1031 treatment on the assumption that it’s far too complicated for an average Investor. We’ve found there are NO Average Investors, each one’s situation is unique to transaction. We’ll search for “right” replacement properties for your needs.
